Yasuki Rin

Merely another Yasuki bureaucrat, who like a Shugenja carries his power in the scrolls at his belt - each representing a trade deal or diplomatic agreement, a contract or a promise of delivery suitably sealed and attested to guarantee their accuracy Rin is a tall, slim individual in his mid twenties carrying the slender build and graceful step of his Crane ancestors married to the firm athleticism of the Crab amongst whom they came to dwell. He has dark, mid-length hair and a slightly angular face that like so many bloodless paper-shufflers seems at times to never to have been violated by a smile, save of course when it is and the effect is somewhere between the rising sun and the glare off a winter lake.

He usually bears his family Wakizashi upon one hip in a plain sheath set some way back from his writing-set and papers, and can generally be found in the company of one or more Yasuki 'traders' whose actual role is to handle the disgraceful details of any commerce that their Samurai superior has agreed upon.

Those who know something of notable Crab might be aware that he has a modest reputation as an accomplished sculptor and is often seen to leave small, hand-worked figurines at Daikoku in a rare example of Crab whimsy.
