Yuuno's appearance is immediately striking in a way that spoils any comeliness.  Her short hair is an unnatural ocra.  Her eyes are a disturbingly tawny colour, and her palid skin is unpleasantly sallow or sometimes sickly blue.  Her body is as if it has been faded or bleached.  While unsightly, she is perfectly hale, and quite strong for her frame.

At first impression she might seem cold, disinterested or morbid.  This is unhelped by her tendency to stare vacantly, which she frequently does when unoccupied, even if one was just speaking to her a moment ago.  Come to know her and one finds, past her different or strange view of things, she is actually passionate, sympathetic and emotive.

She wears a suikan, a white smock over trousers of a gradated sea green. Her knife and short sword are often carried stowed away, unless she needs to be official.  Although she always wears a straight sword hung from her hip, her voluminous book of prayers clearly marks her as Shugenja.  No matter her attire, she wears a protective, gold and orange amulet to ward off ghosts.  If formal headwear is required, she will wear a hitai　kakushi. (This is a triangular, white cloth worn on a head-band.  The wearing of one is typically reserved the recently departed.)

Yuuno is also a physician, and will treat anyone who comes to her. She is an avid board game player and fond of art, even if she cannot reproduce it or always understand it.
