The cold and driven Witch of Winter. Gwendolyn Snow may not be the most powerful of those who fled the Kingdom of Lost Hope, but she is perhaps the most influential.  She is almost fae royalty, and many of her Court treat her as such.

Mien (Description): Beautiful as the first day of winter, Gwendolyn Snow is the embodiment of cold in human form.  Her skin is pale and almost white.  Her eyes are of blue ice.  Her hair is like a field of freshly fallen snow.  Icy, crystalline wings protrude from her back and her nails are sharp and chilling as icicles.   and she moves upright and properly, like royalty of ages past.

More profound than her physical appearance, which remains roughly human, is the effect she has on everything around her.  Her skin is icy to the touch, and she leaves behind little frozen fingerprints when she touches anything that conducts cold like metal.  A light dusting of snowflakes fall all around her in all but the hottest weather, windows slowly freeze over with condensation, and the temperature drops as much as 10 degrees when she enters a room.  To be in her presence is to feel the cold penetrating deep into one's bones.

Gwendolyn Snow is aloof and superior to those she deems beneath her, which is most other changelings. She feels she is fae royalty and expects to be treated as such.  As such she can be condescending and, like her nature, cold.

But Gwendolyn is passionate and driven, and that zeal can warm her chilly exterior.  Her regal bearing inspires confidence in others, and many willingly follow her even if they don't always like her overbearing personality.

Gwen can be cruel to those she deems her enemies, and will deal ruthlessly with any who get in her way...even unintentionally.  But her cold, hard exterior is in some ways a ruse.  There are a select few whom she allows to see the softer, less confident side of Gwen.  She leans on these few changelings for the warmth and comfort her icy nature does not allow.

Taken in the 1950's.  She was a beauty.  Named winter queen at a winter formal.  Car crash.  Nearly froze to death.  Made a pledge with the cold itself in order to survive.

Because she was named queen, the Gentleman with Thistledown Hair took the title literally.  She was elevated to royalty in the Kingdom of Lost Hope.
