Background/Personality:

Delricarth began life as one might expect a person who wields dark magics to start life. He was a power-hungry man with little thought about what others wanted. He was a plague on the land and hated by many. His necromantic powers eventually led him to litchdom and untold power. But his evil tendencies attracted powerful forces of good to rise against him. Delricarth was eventually sealed into a prison that no evil person could escape.

He sat in that prison for countless centuries, alone with nothing but his own thoughts. He was trapped. No evil being could escape the prison he was in. But as he sat there in self-reflection for years and years, something amazing happened. He grew a conscience.

With his newfound conscience came the capacity to empathize and see beyond his own evil ways. He was not Good by any means, but he was no longer Evil either. And since his prison was made to contain those who were Evil, Delricarth was finally able to leave. He has spent the last few decades getting reacquainted with society and trying to figure out how to continue in life. He still wielded vast dark magics, but was no longer compelled to spread darkness throughout the land.

When he heard of gods being taken though, Delricarth knew what he had to do. Even if gods disappearing wouldn't affect him for thousands of years, he knew he expected to be around at that time. And it would be better to take care of the problem now while there was potentially still something that could be done about it. He set out to find some like-minded individuals who would be willing to let him work with them.
