Brief Bio: Jeannette is an exception to her sire, Mr. Ratcliff's preference to those of African origins.  Because she so obviously stands out, she makes an effort to stand out even more by blending in, if that makes any sense at all.  Miss D'Fontaine appears to be more of a traditionalist, and often acts in a more reserved, Victorian-esque persona but in truth, the Frenchwoman is as much a rebel as any would be Anarch.  Those that spend enough time around her learn this, and learn of her wild, capricious streak too.

Jeannette was a refuge from World War II, who had been a part of the French Resistance from the age of 14 up until the war's end.  How she came to Erie or her sire's attention isn't exactly clear.  However, it is well known that Miss D'Fontaine has a strong, competitive rivalry with Miss Walsh.  The two go to great lengths to obtain their sire's affections and interests.

Brandy dotes on her sire and is significantly older, while Jeannette rebels against him and solidifies her position socially by engaging the Toreador and Tremere.  While she doesn't avoid the Brujah, she doesn't pay them much attention, either.  Brandy's success is two fold.  She is a Harpy, but she also annoys her sire, which of course, makes him favor his oldest childe even more.
