A 40-something man standing about 6 feet tall and weighing around 200 pounds. His dark hair is cut short in the military custom, and is just starting to gray around the temples. Athletic and straight-laced, he wears his IDA uniform with pride. When out of uniform, he can still be found wearing gym gear and polos with the organization's logo on it.

Captain Blaise formed the first away team by recruiting Xander, Battalion, Rebecca, and Flux. The first mission sent them to SAGE's Venusian skylab to steal scientific secrets. During the pursuit that resulted from that mission, Blaise's ship -- The Mastodon -- was besieged. The away team fled in a shuttle using experimental engine drives they'd just stolen, leaving their patron behind to guard their escape.

The Mastodon is presumed lost with all hands.
