Yolatta

The Goddess Yolatta, inside her vessel:

Laeshi, High Priestess of The Oracle

Age: Late 20s

Appearance: Like all priests and priestesses of the order, Laeshi is shaved from head to toe, with tattoos replacing her eyebrows. She wears finely embroidered, tailored tunics made less harsh with tantalising cutouts in arcane symbols of the goddess. Her skin and eyes are dark and her countenance is typically severe. She is of average height and appears almost frail despite her fierce eyes. Her endurance, however, is higher than average and she never seems to break a sweat, even in intense heat.

History: A young, fevered Laeshi walked into the Sorokandan Temple of Yolatta one day, locked doors parting before her and locking again behind her. She was babbling incoherently, but in her speech the High Priest recognised the voice of his goddess. He took the child under his wing, nursing her back to health, educating her and later inducting her into the order. He passed of old age only days before To-Xatl landed, and had long-since named Laeshi as his successor.

It was Laeshi who ordered the white fire to be lit and the doors of the temple to be opened once more, and who laughed as the Xatlic priests attempted to set fire to the Oracle's spire-like temple. She was quick to make peace with the invaders and to offer herself as an adviser to the emperor, explaining that their goddess desired to lend her power to the empire, provided her followers were left unharmed.
