Gabriel Formosa is a Toreador, a Spanish surrealist painter. He's a fragile thin young man, with long face and protruding eyes and with libertine and extravagant appearance. He was embraced in Barcelona in the 50s and moved to West Berlin in the 70s. He left Spain because he considered that the Franco regime was suppressing the more provocative forms of expressiveness, creating a huge obstacle for the cultural and artistic climate.
