Dot-the-Eyes

Dorothy "Dot" Thompson, better known as Dot-the-Eyes, is a homid Garou in her mid-20s. She is 5'7" tall, and has blonde hair that falls in waves to just below her shoulders. She has fair skin and blue eyes. In addition, she has a set of bullet scars, an entry wound just in front of her right ear and an exit wound just to the right of her nose. Any member of the Sept of Glass Roses could say that the scars are from a wound she suffered during her first change. Dot has a tattoo that is almost always visible in homid, due to placement. It is a Red Spitting Cobra, coiled around her forearm. The tail trails up onto her upper arm and the head and flared hood extend out over the wrist and onto the back of her right hand.

In Lupus form, she appears to be a completely average gray wolf. There's no sign of any particular tribal bloodline and only one marking to distinguish her from any other wolf. Typically appearing on the side of her back right hip is a brown marking that looks like a coiled cobra, hood flared, ready to strike. Its position shifts from time to time, but is almost never absent entirely, even if it might he hard to spot.

The following is either commonly known by the garou of the Sept of Glass Roses, or not difficult to learn.

Dorothy Thompson grew up in a well-off middle class home in Chicago knowing nothing of her Garou ancestry. All of that changed the day before Christmas Eve 1916. She was out with a friend in the middle of the day when a man came pelting around the corner of a building waving a gun. He tried to take Dot as a hostage or, at the very least, use her as a bullet shield from the cops following him. She struggled, he fired. It would likely have been fatal had she not, just then, experienced the first change. In her ensuing frenzy, the gunman was torn to pieces while the cops and other witnesses fled in terror.

Unfortunately, being a lost cub, she was not located by the Garou of the Sept of Glass Roses. Instead, she encountered a Silver Fang Ragabash by the name of Joseph Roberts. He had split off from Garou society when it became clear that his interpretation of the Litany was wholly unwelcome. He took in the confused young cub and taught her incorrectly. While his lessons were generally accurate, he explained the first tenet of the Litany as something which had been rejected by the Garou nation, knowing that every warrior was needed for the final battles of the Apocalypse; which were assuredly coming soon.

Dot had no way of knowing how wrong and deluded Roberts was, and with his warm, caring demeanor it was only a matter of time before she became pregnant. She was the third young garou to be fall under Roberts' influence, and would not be the last. The first had already died in childbirth, losing the cub in the process and the second would become pregnant shortly before Dot's departure. Near the end of the term, Dot experienced severe complications with the metis pregnancy. Roberts decided she was a lost cause and opted to take his one remaining convert and abandon Dot to her fate. Fortunately, his former packmates found her before it was too late and helped her survive the birth.

While Dot recovered, she was confronted for the first time with everything she didn't know, or had learned wrong. It would be almost another year before she was ready for the Rite of Passage.

The metis cub was a girl. Even after she learned what it would mean to do so and the additional challenges it would provide for a young Garou, Dot took full responsibility for the care of her daughter, whom she named Helen Marie Thompson. In Dot's words, it was not Helen's fault that Joseph Roberts took advantage of someone ignorant of the consequences.

Helen is 8, and nearing maturity. Her first change could come at any time. She was born under a Gibbous moon and the metis curse manifested itself in her withered and useless left arm. Her features clearly show some of the markings of her illegitimate father's Silver Fang bloodline, but it is unlikely that the tribe would accept her. She will not have a difficult time finding a home with the Glass Walkers.
