A hideous creature of green flesh and leathery wings with a pair of vicious boar's tusks jutting from its lower jaw. Slate has a monstrous countenance, with no trace of humanity left to find. Though it appears a thing of nightmare, those who come close enough to hear it speak discover it possessed of a keen mind and a surprising eloquence, despite the tusks which make regular speech difficult.
