Russian ex-marine whose family are friends of Andrews, he rose to the rank of a corporal during the third war when he was part of the forces that recaptured Procyon, and since decided to retire to manage weapons production instead, as that did not require getting shot at as much. His wife works part time as an accountant, mainly to relieve the boredom. Much of his life savings have gone into designing, with Andrew, the space speeder, and it is his pride and joy! He tries to use it for hunting and fishing trips on the rare occasion he has time off.

He now commands the massive base that Andrew uses to produce his wealth, and to support everyone in his small empire. He is a capable commander who goes by the book, and that keeps the base running smoothly.
