Growing up on Chrysolite mean that there were always plenty of things around to fly. Jerry took advantage of that, and with his friend Tom they went through flight school together. Despite Toms accident, Jerry still assumes he is invincible, and flys like that, but sticks to missile fighters to stay with his friend Tom.
