The very first thing that stands out about Artox is his flaming red hair and beard. And he’s quite proud of it, too. The hair is long and braided, while he keeps his beard shorter than a lot of dwarfs, possibly so it won’t interfere with the playing of the wood and hide drum that he carries with him virtually everywhere. The drumsticks look quite serviceable as cudgels, but this does not seem to detract from his skill at beating out various rhythms on the instrument.

Of late a serviceable breastplate has replaced the chainmail he brought with him from home. A crossbow that hangs from his belt seems almost an afterthought. His clothes are first and foremost sturdy and meant to survive all manner of hardship that could await a crusader.
