RY 737: Garai was born to Shinrai and Tali Windbrush as the firstborn son and second born child. His sister Mirei was two years older.

RY 740: When Garai was three years old, his brother Jinrai was born.

RY 742: At five years old, Garai began to study the Immaculate Faith under Mnemon Silva.

RY 744: At seven years old, Garai was invited to Lord Arnel Rosen twice a week to study Gateway under the tutelage of the high lord.

RY 749: When Garai was 12 years old, he got to squire under Steel-Knight Lieutenant Mace Lionmane. This same year, his sister Mayah was born.

RY 752: At 15 years old, Garai began his First Battalion service.

RY 755: Garai ended his service in the First Battalion after three years and immediately was knighted and accepted into the Steel Vanguard.

RY 758: Now a Steel-Knight Lieutenant of his own, Garai took a year off from his duties in the Steel Vanguard to make a pilgrimage to the Immaculate Temple in the Imperial City.

RY 760: Now 23 years old, Garai returned to Rosalia with new experiences, a bald head, with a wife from the Blessed Isle and with a newborn son named Melan in honor of Mela, the Air Dragon. He returned to his duties in the Steel Vanguard.

RY 763: Garai's second son was born. He was named Thor.

RY 764: Garai's first daughter was born. She was named Serah.

RY 767: Garai's loyalties were tested as the Realm assassinated King Altren Karamat V. He ended up defeating a famous Dynast talonlord in single combat. This earned him a promotion to Steel-Knight Captain. Later this year, he learned that his brother Jinrai had become Anathema and he prayed to the Dragons in forgiveness, blaming himself and the fact that he chose his own people before the Dragons' people for why Jinrai was cursed.

RY 768: Garai was convinced by his father Shinrai to accept Jinrai despite his new nature. Garai has tried to do so, but Jinrai senses that it weighs heavily on him.

RY 770: Garai played a part in guarding the Queen during the Thorned Rebellion.
