The Thief of Libraries--as some have come to calling her at any rate--strikes a dramatic posture at first glance, a lovely young woman just barely out of girlhood, clad from neck to toe in figure-hugging moonsilver plate--modesty barely contained by the slightly ragged purple robes worn above it, complete with a pointed hat that just screams witch, festooned with small charms and talismans from the places she's travelled through.  Her eyes shrouded by the great spectacles that adorn her face, masking the shadowed eyes that suggest many hours spent delving for mysterious lore in the darkest shadows of the world.

And then she opens her mouth, and her shy nature becomes abundantly clear.  Socially awkward, she finds herself more at home in her imagination and in her studies than she ever has among people, and has difficulty coping with being out of her comfort zone for the first time in her life--even if it's for the best reasons doing important work that needs doing
