Virgil knows what the real world is like: napalm blooms, the whine of bullets, the screams of mangled human beings, the thud of choppers and three days awake on amphetamines in your temples, explosive death at any unwary step. When he's passin' time waiting for the real world to assert itself, Virgil is quiet, reserved and occasionally seen staring at something a thousand yards beyond anything there to see.
