The Stranger intentionally eschews traditional superhero antics most of the time, and can usually be found in the underbelly or margins of society, dealing with those that hide there.

His look is intentionally styled after the heroes of the pulp/noir era. His accent is clearly English, although there are occasional inconsistencies in tone between appearances. A blue fedora and trenchcoat over black pants and white full sleeve shirts is his usual attire, with the odd chain medallion anchoring the trenchcoat is the thing that draws your eye.

Its unclear whether its a stylistic choice or a hint at what else he can do, but he's set on it.

Like many things about him, he will never willingly offer a clue why.
