General Appearance: Joachim is the perfect picture of a gentleman. His hair is neatly trimmed, his posture is perfect, his clothes are always neat and he always has a kind smile on his face. His one great oddity is his preference for the color red- except when forced to do otherwise, he will wear red as the primary color of his attire, and even then, he will usually find some way to insert red as a major component somewhere in his outfit.



HISTORY

Personality: Joachim is congenial, polite to a fault (to the degree that he almost never uses profanity, even in private), and always looking to make friends or cheer up people who are feeling down. He has a good sense of humor, and loves parties and social gatherings. However, he has two major flaws. First, he loves the company of women, and isn't always mindful of whether the women he pursues are already in committed relationships. He also has a penchant for violence- one he tries to suppress, but which comes out anytime someone is foolish enough to challenge him to a fight. Part of the reason he wears red is so it doesn't instantly ruin his clothing when he gets blood on it, which seriously cuts down on cleaning costs.

About Your character: A man from a minor house with big ambitions, Joachim LeCaret has been raised from birth to be the living ideal of a gentleman and a scholar. He took to all his lessons well, but rather worryingly, he took to his lessons on boxing and fencing far better than anything else. While he was competent in literature, history, rhetoric and mathematics, he was a master of the martial arts, and quickly came to match even his fellow instructors.

However, despite these talents, he never had the inclination to join the armed services and become a knight, nor did he actively pursue a career in combat. Instead, he hoped to use his skills to marry into one of the Major Houses, or at least to find a pretty woman from another Minor House that he could marry for a useful alliance. He's not entirely sure which matters more- power or beauty- but regardless, he knows the value of a man who can tear through someone else with a rapier, or with their bare hands, and he knows there are women who value that sort of thing as well. He just hopes those same skills do not chase away all the good candidates- he does, ultimately, want a peaceful and happy life, after all.
