Matthew Norris is a young man in his early twenties. He appears to be the sort of well-built, clean cut, young man that old women at church are happy about. His one sign of tacit rebellion against that image is visible in the hair that he keeps stylish and just a touch longer than the old folks at his church would prefer. That hair is brown and occasionally gets in the way of blue eyes. Matt has average features, neither particularly handsome nor unattractive.

He is typically dressed well, being the sort of young man brought up in the belief that one does not walk out their front door looking like a slob. Khaki slacks, polo shirts, and loafers are about as casual as he gets. Jeans and t-shirts are the exclusive province of activities where one is expected to get dirty, like cleaning or painting, neither of which really involve being seen in public. Something about the way he carries himself, his posture, mannerisms, or vocal patterns tends to set off people's "Gay-dar" (at least for those who have a more powerful instrument in that regard), though he certainly appears to be an otherwise prototypical good young man, bound to make some woman very happy some day.

Whether any of that will hold up past the embrace remains to be seen.
