Shank was rescued as a baby by well meaning humans who did not understand goblins at all.

They tried to raise him with human values, but when they sent him to school he was teased and bullied for being a goblin. It did not take long for Shank to resolve things with violence, and after a small killing spree he found himself at the doors of the assassins guild.

Shank worked for the guild for 2 years before his past caught up with him and he was forced to flee the opulent lifestyle of an assassin.

Shank now figures that he can put his skills to use in the marches as he attempts to replace his riches
