Tall and solidly built even by astartes standards, his body is a mass of scars and old wounds and he has extensive scarring on the left side of his face caused by a heavy flamer during a battle on Incaladion, his left ear was burned off as well. Hair is cropped shirt and grey in colour but as with most of the original astartes looks timeless despite his myriad of wounds.

Personality:Rourke is cold and logical in battle and wields his heavy bolter with brutal efficiency. Rourke holds great interest in the operation of and function of interesting technology, especially engines of war. Rourke embodies the spirit of the Iron Legion and does not hesitate to make sacrifices for the completion of a mission and his unflinching composure often provides an anchor of morale for his squad to rally to when the fighting get toughest. As with all members of the Iron Warriors, Rourke has a great proficiency in siege warfare both in assaults and defenses and prefers simpler tactics with less chance of complication but has demonstrated that he  has a surprisingly innovative strategical mind.

Background: Rourke has fought for the Iron Warriors since the legions inception during the unification wars on terra and has fought at the front line of the great Crusades most hard fought campaigns. Rourke demonstrated unshakable will and an impressively logical and tactical ability during the Mehr Yasht campaign and was promoted to the rank of devastator and was awarded a heavy bolter fresh from the great forges of Mars. Rourke originally held a morbid yet jovial attitude towards the great crusade but his personality changed somewhat during the campaign on Incaladion. As the battles became harder and harder the willpower and stubbornness of the Iron Warriors were pushed towards their limits and each battle wore away Rourke's joviality. Any humor or lightheartedness was utterly destroyed upon the reunification with Perturabo on Olympia and the events that took place shortly after.
