Say Ta'l Sigos

Name: Say Ta'l Sigos

Age: 26

Gender: Female

Race: Miraluka

Appearance:

Pale with coal black hair, Say rarely shows her face from under her hood, all too aware of the glances others direct to her kinds lack of eyes. Seeing the patterns of the force itself is too foreign a concept for most races. Traditionally she wears recovered Jedi Temple Guardian robes that she discovered on an archaeological expedition, both to aid in her work and to hide her normal visage. Say stands at 5'6" and is slight for her size, preferring speed to strength in her life.

Personality: Quiet and contemplative, Say throws herself entirely in to the Light side of the force. She holds fervently to its teachings of patience and tolerance, not abiding hate or harm to the defenseless of any kind. Ki still holds deeply to her guilt of her past and tries constantly to make up for her sins, though many have already forgiven her. Though she works hard to live up to the Light, moments of great stress can find Say reaching deep down to pull strength from her time in the darkness, a piece of her that despite her efforts, she cannot completely rid from herself.

Bio:

Say was adopted in to the new Jedi order quickly, being born close to the republic capital, her parents allowed her to go with their blessings. Say took quickly to her studies and performed admirably, taking quickly to force manipulation. This came as no surprise given her heritage as she could quite literally 'see' the force as it moved through the world. Saber combat came more slowly as her instructors preferred sharp, strong movements, forms which Say was entirely unsuited for. Eventually her short comings were noticed and she began to learn the combat forms more suited for quick, acrobatic combat mixed with her force ability.

The rest of her time was spent in the archives devouring as much history and teachings as she could find. This translated over to her assignments after she completed her training as a historian, visiting sights of ancient power to discover what artifacts or holocrons might lay dormant. It was on one such investigation that she discovered an ancient holocron belonging to Exar Kun. Through his teachings, she came to likewise distrust the Jedi for their "heretical" condemnation of the dark side of the force. In her mind, influenced by the ancient fallen Jedi, the force, all of the force, should be utilized and marking any as forbidden was paramount to ignoring the force itself. These teachings led to her fall from the light and she openly embraced the dark side, going so far as to destroy light side monuments or artifacts wherever she found them.

It was not until her former master and mentor caught up to her and faced off against her in battle that she saw the arrogance of her ways. Locked in fierce battle, her former master tossed aside his lightsaber and bent his knee to her, telling her if she really felt that the Jedi were as awful as she preached, that she should strike him down where he stood. Despite her rage, she could not bring herself to kill the defenseless man who had taught her all she knew. After talking and debating for two days straight without break, she laid down her saberstaff and agreed that she had strayed from the path. Returning to the Jedi temple, she began the process of purging the dark from her and attempting to make up for her actions while she had fallen.
