Rennan ‘Ren’ Maskalar is rather tall for a halfling, standing at a hair over 3'-6" and weighing in at a solid 58 lbs. He is handsome with lightly tanned skin and a solid muscled body. He sports long sideburns and his brown hair is cut short but is kept messy, often looking like he just woke up. He has the eye condition which is sometimes referred as "cat eyes". This results in him having two colors in the same eye - brown with a purple ring. His face bears no scars and makes him seem younger than he already is. Although he is actually twenty-one years old, he only looks to be about eighteen.

He has a dragon tattoo that runs from his left arm, up to his left shoulder blade and continues to the small of his back. Anyone with knowledge of the Far East, knows that the tattoo is the symbol for the enigmatic and secretive Dragon Clan. On the underside of his right wrist he has a tattoo of a yellow rose. He also has scar on his right forearm that continues up the arm, past his bicep and stops at his shoulder blade.

He wears a pair of black, loose fitting breeches and a loose fitting black silk shirt tied together with black sashes. Along with these, he wears a pair of thick fighting gloves, soft, black velvet boots and an iron jingasa (war hat). He also wears an elegant pendant, a memento of his deceased adoptive parents.
