Background:RA7-JVS is a protocol droid, originally used as a personal valet to Essis Ortox, a middle level manager before the start of the Clone Wars. During the Wars JVS was reprogrammed for espionage and sold through several dummy corporations to owners in republic space. There he was to gather and send back information retrieved from Republic computer systems. Unfortunately, the war ended precipitously and his 'True Owner' died.

During the intervening years JVS has bounced from owner to owner striving to provide perfection in service, information and correction of his owners sartorial mistakes. After all one must always present a proper appearance in society. While in the process of gathering information to assist Burukt Kre in some mercantile activities, the information gathering was detected and Kre was arrested for it. Kre was imprisoned by the Empire for espionage, and as a result JVS feels obliged to try and discover his fate as well as provide what assistance he can to Kre's family. JVS was not implicated in the slicing and was sold off as an asset in the Empire's seizure of assets.


Personality: While reprogrammed for espionage, JVS original programming core remains at the heart of his personality and behavior. In the role of personal valet, what some would call a butler, JVS was responsible for maintaining scheduling, correspondence and the personal grooming and care of his owner. Perfection in sartorial matters as well as attending to organizing the living area for his owner and providing occasional translation or informational needs were what he was built for. He continues to attend to those details when allowed to, while observing the interactions of the organics and attempting to provide good 'advice and information pertinent to the current issues'.
