Edward Stoneshire and, the Gryphon, Icarus were born less then a minute apart, at the first light returning from the Winter Solstice, their souls merged. It tied the fate of the two together, both gained abilities both mentally and physically.  Edward gained the ability to talk to animals, plants, and even spirits, as he grew older his powers grew as well allowing spirits to speak through him, his bond with Icarus grew until they could mentally talk to each other at almost any distance. Icarus’ powers allowed him to communicate with others at close range, and Edward at any range, he also developed more battle powers then other Gryphons. His screech causes a primal fear, wounds seemed to heal in minutes instead of days, and his eyes grew sharper.

The two grew up together wondering through woods, meeting animals, and trees, to learn more about how to survive. They never knew loneliness, always relying on each other Edward could talk most people, animals, or plants into doing what he wanted. But the times that Edward got in over his head, Icarus came to stand next to him intimidating even larger creatures.

When they became adults they joined a scouting group that mapped the area for a basic wage. In time their aerial skills, and leadership, had them promoted several times. After a few years Edward and Icarus decided that they should take a break from the scout and do some private exploring going to new towns, and meet new people and animals.

This is their first adventure, already a mighty storm hit them, and he had gone flying… Then he blacked out…
