Jasina Whitlock made it her mission to beautify Stillwater by planting as many flowers about town as she possibly could. She loved flowers and convinced the council to approve the construction of a magnificent rose garden. She saw to the care personally.

It was around this time that people's pets began to disappear. All throughout town, dogs and cats and even exotic birds went missing from people's homes. The local police never caught whoever was taking the animals.

She tended it day and night as often as she could and worked so hard that winter or summer her garden thrived. Local gardeners wondered what the secret was to her vibrant roses and their lush, petals but Jasina never gave up her secret.
