Name: William James

Gender: Male

Age: 34

Hair: Very dark Brown

Eyes: Brown

Distinguishing Marks: Quite heavy eyebrows

General Appearance:

Tall and slim with long hair and dark, expressive eyes. He has a fair amount of facial stubble. Will tends to favor casual, dark clothing but he also is known to wear suits.

Personality:

Will generally likes people and does what he can to help them. He is willing to listen to people and provide moral support and has been known to physically help others, as well as offer financial aid where possible. If there is one thing will has a weakness for it is the opposite sex. He isn't a player, per se, but sometimes he has switched allegiances  and once or twice cheated on partners. He is constantly in conflict with his desire to remain loyal and his impulse to form an attachment to whatever pretty woman catches his eye at the current moment. He hopes one day to find 'the one' but so far has simply had a string of brief relationships that have ended either disasterously or amicably.

Will is a music lover. His music of choice is heavy metal but he is open to all kinds of music. He doesn't have a bad singing voice himself, but he never had the nerve to actually perform. He has, however, written and sold a few songs. Having recently taken over a local Jazz club he intends to keep the same atmosphere there as before in order to retain the usual clientele.

Sexual Preferences: Heterosexual

Employment (Employed/Unemployed/Out of towner etc.): Club owner

About Your character: Will grew up in London's east end and had a pretty poor and tough life. As a boy he saw many of his friends get caught up in a life of crime and get chewed up and spat out by the system. His elder brother ended up in a drugs gang and got killed as a result. His younger sister disappeared and it is thought that she is either dead or sold to the sex slave market. Will spent most of his life walking a tightrope between legal low paid jobs and petty crime until he earned enough money to get himself out of London and set himself as a song writer, Living in Cornwall. He ended up having an affair with Wen Lanfen, a dancer who also happened to be married to a local artist that he was writing songs for. Lanfen became pregnant and later gave birth to a daughter, Li mei. Lanfen decided to keep the fact that Will was Li mei's father a secret and so he decided to leave Cornwall for Stillwater where he used is savings to buy up a jazz club. He sends money home for his daughter's upbringing once a month, pretending to be a distant uncle and receives letters once every three months regarding Li mei's life.
