Wade Colson's light armor bears the insignia of the Alliance Marine Corps, despite the fact that Wade's ever relaxed face is more often seen staring at his rifle, or his wrench, than at anybody's face. His rifle bears the insignia 'Weaver' on it, unexplained, and simple. Even in combat conversation, Wade seems a bit quiet and relaxed, almost as if he's seen it all before. He hasn't, in fact, seen it all before. Sure, he's had his share of combat, but it wasn't combat he chose to be in, he just knew his role. His solid size (6'1" 225 lbs) and stoic nature fit his attitude perfectly: efficient, and straightforward.

And THAT defines Wade quite well. The man is a simple one. Straightforward and clean. He knows that in times of peace, he is one of the Alliance's best mechanics. He can put together any mechanical contraption needed, and pull the broken ones apart for repair. He's not a geek: He doesn't know how half of the computer parts work, but he knows enough to fix just about anything. He's always had a passion for quietly working on vehicles from underneath... tinkering away at their parts, and fixing broken turrets and treads. Similar to his love of mechanics is his love of long range shooting. Ever since he was a boy, he's fired longer and longer ranges, always happy to try and stretch his previous records even further.

Still, a lover of conflict he is not. He doesn't shy away, but he doesn't aggressively pursue it either. No: he's perfectly happy supplying the Alliance with working machines for those ends, and then putting a round (or three) through a head a mile and a half away when they need that to. A natural soldier, Wade is simple and obedient to his superiors... which makes it curious why he isn't a higher rank than a simple scout sniper. Any questioning into this leads into Wade changing the subject, or smiling the questions away.

Wade is a fairly simple man who likes the simple things in life: A good whisky, a long range shot done with precision... the fixing of vehicles... things of his past. Wade is never going to be a super philosophical thinker, but he doesn't mind when people are: he accepts most viewpoints. He just isn't loud enough to talk over anybody else, or force his point of view on anyone.
