Legion

Overview: Legion is a tactician, sorcerer and military necromancer obsessed with developing shock cavalry theory in Creation.

Appearance: Physically remarkably average, when out of armor Legion draws little notice until one gets close enough to see his eyes, the cold pitiless eyes of the fanatic. In (necromantic) armor there tends to be more screaming and running away. That he is usually smeared with the jellied blood used to lubricate his creations doesn't help.

Personality: Those willing and able to overlook his necromancy find a likable enough man, but one ruled by his passions. Learning is his first love, although Tanya and House T'nep both come a close second. He hates the Realm in general and the Immaculate Order in particular, regarding extermination as the only viable solution. He follows the Hundred Gods, although he doesn't, of course, regard it as a heresy.

For those expecting undead hordes: Legion currently has a very small horde, less than 20 undead monstrosities and 30 odd support. It is however an elite power-armored necrotech-weapon wielding engineer shock cavalry mini-horde.

Services: He retains a factor (Ranulf the Red) in Yuruga’s Hall (Nexus) through whom his services may be hired. Primary is mercenary service obviously, although Legion refuses garrison, bodyguard or escort duty, preferring pitched battle, strike, bandit-hunting or siege-breaking. Those willing to pay the premium for fast response may expect a small army on their doorstep anywhere within a thousand miles of Nexus within the day. Legion sells talismans, and will make perfect equipment (including superheavy plate) to order. He also stitches to order transcendent revenant vessels for the dead (the Deathlords ones are better but Legions ones come without strings) and for a hefty price will even grant rich mortals some of the power (and longevity) of Exaltation. On the other side of the coin he buys sickly, worn-out or even dead slaves, bodies from the Gatherers, metals and gemstones.
