Ninth Ebb is an unremarkable young man, barely out of his adolescence, with dull brown eyes and a wiry frame. His dark auburn hair is tousled and not particularly well kept; from the rather uneven length it's obviously poorly trimmed whenever it threatens to get in his eyes. His skin is somewhat pale, a lightly pinkish shade that doesn't show much in the way of tan; his cheeks are lightly speckled with freckles. His clothes - usually a hooded cloak or a labourer's smock - are cheaply made and lightly patched by a fairly competent hand. Whatever labours he seems to be working on, he carries a short length of knotted rope on his hip.

In motion, he simply moves through his environment with vague purpose, observing the world around him with placid interest. He has a certain deftness of movement about him; he's not particularly graceful or balletic, but there never seems to be a moment where he stumbles or drops something. In conversation, he gives the impression of a simple man, but an observant one who occasionally shows flashes of a wry sense of humour.
