Roin, Son Of Rorin

Before his time, Roín's family was one of many that fled Erebor when the Dragon arrived. Finding refuge in the Blue Mountains, Roin's grandfather Roán practiced his trade as an accomplished smith and it did not take long for the family to rebuild the life they'd once had east of the Misty Mountains.

When news of Smaug's destruction reached the Blue Mountains, Roín's family, still proud Durin-folk, hurried back to Erebor. Roín himself, however, remained. As the youngest of three brothers, Roín was last to enter apprenticeship and as such had three years left before he could return to his family home.

Now the day has come, and Roín is on his way back to Erebor. Although he has never seen the Lonely Mountain before, he does consider it his home and is eager to "return". He is, however, not opposed to having an adventure or two along the way, especially if it gives him the opportunity to earn a fancy title for himself.

For those who do not know his face, Roín is a young dwarf with a bushy black beard and blackened, soot-stained hands. Under his purple hood is an elaborate gold circlet, crafted by himself for his final test as an apprentice of Goran the Steelheaver.
