Standing 4'5" Azaghal is of average height for a Dwarf. He wears his red hair and beard in a single rough braid which he coils under his helm. He always wears a rough spun hooded cloak that has seen to many winters. It covers most of his possessions except a leather bag he wears on his back next to a large duel headed great hammer.

His early life was one of unrelenting sorrow as he lost his family in the fires that consumed Erebor and during the march to the Iron Hills. One of many orphans he was schooled in a trade from an early age learning to carve and shape stone. His family was always a martial warrior clan from his Great Grandfather defending the halls of Khazad-dûm to his father doing the same at Erebor.
