Mahzirn has striking eyes, pale green rimmed with hazel, and a gaze that burns with with the white-hot intensity of a prophet. It has been claimed he is insane, though his calm manner and evidently cultured intellect defy the wild rumours about his past and private life, and Lady Sylvia Dythanus clearly tolerates his company on a regular basis.

A sometime-monk from the heights of the Northern Ivthian Mountains, Mahzirn Al-Jamihn usually dresses simply in the loose black robes associated with desert pilgrims. He has a faint trace of nobility in his face (connected to rumours of a prince stopping off at his great-grandmother's village) and large peasant hands. A curious aura of serenity graces all his movements, particularly the soft smile he gains when paying attention. He is often paying attention.
