Brienne of The Valley is a Garamondi knight, decked out in archaic but functional plate mail armor and wielding a mighty alchemically-enhanced blade. Most people mistake her for a man at first, something she rarely bothers to correct. She's struck up a kinship with Xena Al-Jeget, and the two often meet over drinks and commiserate about the horrors of battle.

She's taciturn and doesn't talk much about her past, though the bits she does mention are laced with heavy bitterness. She was a Lawseeker for many years, but was promoted to the captain of the Tower Watch, The Lord of the Tower's personal guard, when Mikhalis ascended.
