Hansendotti Anvilbreaker, or "Black Hans" as he's known to most outsiders, isn't much for small talk.  A minor son, of a minor branch, of a minor clan of miners, there wasn't much for him back at the ancestral hold, particularly given he was always more interested in mechanical contrivences than swinging a pick.  Deciding he had more chance to further his inclinations in the wide world than down a dimly lit shaft, Hansendotti has journeyed to Blackmoor in a bid to seek his fortune.

Short, wide, and gruff, with a luxurious mane of black hair, and a flowing beard (about which he is particularly vain), Black Hans has already seen enough of the world to decide he rather likes it.  He brings his strong arm, eye for traps, and an axe to his endeavors, and has decided life is better lived with wealth and a little spice of danger.
