DESCRIPTION:

James is a fairly handsome man of Spanish and Apache decent. His hair is a lighter shade of black than that of his ancestors and he keeps his facial hair neatly trimmed. He is currently wearing faded blue jeans, a long sleeve khaki shirt, a battered cowboy hat, black combat style boots and a leather motorcycle jacket.

James tends to be more the quiet type letting other do the talking only speaking up when he has something relevant to add or an objection or question. This isn't to say that he doesn't enjoy being social, he just prefers to let others enjoy the limelight.

HISTORY:

Born in Galveston Texas, James was the only son of Miguel and Dawn Martinez. James's father was of Mexican decent and his mother could trace her heritage to the Apache Indians. James moved around a lot growing up, his father worked on oil rigs and oil wells all over the United States, from Texas to Alaska. James and his parents were very close and would spend as much of the free time together as possible, traveling on short trips, camping or just hanging out watching movies. Surprisingly James did extremely well in school and even earned a scholarship to MIT.

James graduated and went to work with an engineering firm that specialized in robotics and UAV's. James managed to earn his pilots license for both fixed wing, helicopter and UAV's during his work. Unfortunately not long before the plaque the company James worked for went bankrupt. James was on his way to a job interview when things fell apart.

James had only been in Augusta, Maine a day or so preparing for his interview with Kennebec Technologies when the first news reports started being broadcast about the infected. Looking back James is still stunned by how fast the infection spread and the government and civil services collapsed.

Since then James has been slowly making his way south west. Hoping to eventually make it back to Galveston and with any luck find his parents still alive.
