Ceallach MacKenzie was born into the clan as another mouth to feed, she was not a boy and their father wanted sons.  Hence she was raised as a lad and learned to fight like a lad but she had gifts, gifts that the old ones said were to be cherished.  Her brother Aodhan was good to her and protective of her.  So was her cousin Jamie and Brianna.  Life was not so bad but she was only now growing into her beauty.  Her gifts for reading the signs were taught to her by the Crones and by Brianna's Mother so that she knew of the Vikings and the Celts.
