Skills: Roxanne is an exotic animal photographer, best known for her work photographing endangered animals. Prior to the spread of the virus, Roxy worked for National Geographics as their Senior Photography Editor-In-Chief. Her skills with a camera surpasses the complex basics, and she is very knowledgeable in the history and classic photography methods just as much as she knows and understands modern digital photography. Secretly, Roxanne has always wanted to be a musician and can play the guitar but just well enough to get by around a campfire. She is also a great cook and enjoys creating her own recipes on her spare time, with a great tongue for spicy food and anything noodle-related.

How did you survive the virus?/Backstory: Roxanne Ashwood was born the youngest of two to an artistic father and a secretarial mother, her older brother her senior by three years. The small family was primarily situated in Hilo, Hawaii where Roxanne's maternal family resided. When her career took off shortly after she graduated with a bachelors of art, Roxanne relocated to New York, where she took up a position as a photographer for a small magazine. The few years to follow were all but planted into her lap as her part time volunteer work with charitable organizations began to flourish, and her work began to shift from photographing models and commercials, to animals and international disasters around the world.

As Roxanne began to travel more and more for her work, it became more and more apparent with each trip to exotic places like Thailand, back-water China and various parts of Africa that the young photographer would be asked to medically prepare herself by taking preventative shots and antibiotics to counter disease and viruses in these countries. Luckily for her, when the spread of the 2020 Olympic virus became an international phenomenon, it was no coincidence that -somehow-, Roxanne was unable to contract the disease. Something in her bloodstream was keeping her from getting infected, and while the people around her began to deteriorate, Roxy thrived.

She has since learned that the virus has only affected a small number of animals she works with, and while she is no researcher herself, Roxy continues to do her best to help where she can, volunteering as a test subject for vaccines as well as documenting both in photography and in written form, her own personal experiences with the virus.
