Baylee is short (5'2") and slender. To some she is hyper-thin. This is because her mother was Pai Huai, a space nomad. And she has inherited some of the features. Her father was Protegeran though and squat. She had Pai Huai skin tone on the lighter side of and short-cropped dark hair. Her features are elongated and the pupils of her eyes are large. For her part, Bayleee grew up in her mother's clan as something of an outcast. She wasn't as well-suited to a spacer lifestyle due to her father's genetic influence. It was a rough childhood but she learned how to run a ship and move in space. She spent a lot of time avoiding the blows of her step-father and resenting the favor her younger brother garnered for being full-blood.

As an adult, she traveled around the independent scene in XGAB and joined a mercenary company that mostly worked on the Inner Colonies side of things. Thus, she got to see her father's homeworld for the first time.

A few years into this period, she got caught up in the war and her company received a letter of marquee to raid Scyllan ships. She showed herself to be an effective spacer, fighter, and commander. Eventually, she became the ship's quartermaster.

Then the Inner Colonies lost the war, signed the peace accords, and her ship was ordered in to face trial as war criminals along with many other ships serving the Inner Colonies. It was political and punitive, so her ship went pirate. IT was the best five years of her life.

They were constantly on the run, struggled to scrape a living together, but always trying to help the Protegerans where most the crew came from. Eventually, as always, her ship was run to ground by a mercenary group. Crippled, boarded, and fighting like dogs they were captured. Baylee watched her best friend, her captain, get cut down by the mercenary captain. IT just so happened the mercenary captain was her own little brother, on her mother's side.

After that, she was tried in a kangaroo court and sentenced to several life terms to b followed by execution.
