Default

Description:

Coming in at just shy of 5'3", and maybe a buck thirty five, Default doesn't exactly cut an imposing figure. She's small and slight, hardly the sort of profile you'd expect from a serious Shadowrunner. She's clearly an elf, and unless she's dolled up in her combat armor she's really not making any attempt to hide it. The shaved sides of her head make the pointed ears real clear, even if she didn't have neon nanotats highlighting everything. The tats are programable, fluctuating in bright neon colors to match whatever mood or program she's set for them. Dark skin, meticulously maintained dreadlocks, and French accent give away her Caribbean heritage, though it's international enough that exactly where is impossible to say.

She's got a clear grasp of street fashion, though she still hasn't fully adapted away from LA glitterati. Traces of go-ganger peak out from time to time, though she does her best to squash that shit out whenever she catches it. She favors bright neons to go with the tats, transparent weaves and meshes over tight black tops and faux leather pants. Her skill with Manipulation magic means she can be constantly updating her look, sometimes multiple times a day, always keeping a couple of weeks ahead of the curve of the latest and greatest fashion icons and forums.

Her voice is deep and resonate, full of joy and laughter. Of course, it's not always tuned to her default settings. When channeling one of the Loa, Default can't help but adopt the voice of whatever spirit is currently inhabiting her, the two intertwining and interweaving over and through one another. Whenever this happens, she takes on the mannerisms, tics, accents, and speaking habits of her riders as well. This can be incredibly confusing to people who don't understand what is happening, as Default is not opposed to running through multiple Loa is a single encounter.  To keep things easier for those in the know, she runs a rotating series of AR avatars.  All of these are just as slick as her treads, but each is a representative of whatever Loa she happens to be Channeling at the moment.

Personality:

All it takes is half a second with Default opening her mouth to realize she's a street rat. She walks the walk, she talks the talk, she wears the clothes, she's got the tats. She can talk snazzy with the Johnsons if she has too, even play it cool with the corporate elite in a pinch, but it's obvious to anyone with an eye for it that she's relying more on natural charisma than anything else. Nine times out of ten it just works for her though, which doesn't do much to encourage her to learn more. Yeah, she's making it up as she goes along, but that seems to fly. If things really get bad she can just ask Ti-Jean-Petro to drop some Influence, though outside of a run she tries to keep that sort of behavior to a minimum.

> Personality trait: Winging the p's and q's.

Outside of the boardroom is when she's in her element, and that's when the true colors fly. She sports a colorful personality to match her street threads, a bright smile and a cheerful "frak you" to anyone who tries to give her shit. Her head is an ocean full of personalities, most far more ancient that her own feeble few decades. In that sort of cognitive jungle, the only way to survive is to be the baddest motherfraker there. Not to say she's a stuck up prick, unlike most of the Awakened. You play nice and be professional, and she'll match you respectful nod for nod. The youth of her features is all elf aging crap, she's got a few years behind her, and in that time she's learned that there is no sense burning bridges and making enemies. She's got enough of those already.

> Personality trait: Strong willed ain't the half of it

Her time with the Ancients has left her with a deep love for motorcycles, though strangely she seems thoroughly uninterested in combat biking. Despite being incredibly adept at dishing out a world of violence, she's not a big fan of dishing it out when it isn't required. Sure a few bodies may need to be made into mince meat in a run gone wrong, but honestly most of the time for her that's proof that it was a sloppy job. Only place where that all breaks down is with Humanis. She's got no time for fascists, and the vengeful death goddess is usually the first part of her to show when she's up against that sort of shit.

> Personality trait: Violence is sometimes necessary

Running ain't the same as having a chat, and when it's time to strap on the gear and get serious, she knows how to buckle down. She usually takes the role of "facilitator," getting everyone moving on bringing their strengths to the table. She loves to plan things out to the nth degree, but knows that shit's liking to stall if someone isn't relentlessly driving the team to keep thinking. In the shadows, stalling usually means saying "frag it" and just winging it, something she absolutely hates. It's one thing to have a plan go wrong and need to crash a tank through a crowded public square in broad daylight, it's another thing entirely to go in to the situation with no plan whatsoever and just hope you don't get reconfigured.

> Personality trait: Hello boys, I'll be your facilitator for the evening
