James is a dichotomy in many respects. At times boistrous and full of laughter, at times very serious. Much of that depended on who he was dealing with, from his daughters or his work.

He loved to read a large swath of things, from books on science to history to fiction and fantasy. He loved to watch sports, movies, and documentaries. Though not naturally inclined to exercise, once or twice a year he pushed himself to run a half marathon. So his endurance was decent and he had great insight into things that he read and situations at work. Often being roped in for his opinion on things that weren't necessarily within his purview.

Even with the running, James likes to eat, so he is a little soft around the middle at this point.
