General Physical Description: Tall and athletic, she clearly spends a fair amount of time in the gym. Her raven tresses are long and thick going well to her mid back and often worn in a thick braid. Her hazel eyes have a slight almond shape that can sometimes make her face have a catlike appearance. She has a fairly strong jaw and rather sharp chin. Full lips and a generous mouth house a set of straight white teeth. She has a medium complexion and tans easily. She has sleeve tattoo starting at her deltoid and tricep with a Kraken and a complete underwater oceanic scene including a Mermaid on her forearm. (Played by Alex Zedra)

Personality (Bring your character to life. Make them a real person here and in their likes, dislikes, and hobbies):  Aniela is a strange mix of serious and goofy. She absolutely takes almost everything she does seriously, but has difficulty making it look like it unless it is truly life and death…even then, she might try and make light of it. She tends to question authority, but seems to have a knack for knowing when to quit pushing her superiors. If she fails to catch the cues, often a, “just frackin’ do it!,” is all it takes and she is all business. She is very good at what she does and that has given her a fair bit of leeway in that regard, being seen as frustratingly loveable. Her often dry sense of humor and ability to laugh at just about any situation is usually seen as a boon for those around her.

Likes: Aniela enjoys staying fit and is fairly good at Pyramid. She also enjoys shooting sports and martial arts. Interestingly, she also enjoys more sedentary pursuits like video gaming and reading and she will rarely turn down something chocolate.

Dislikes: She sometimes wonders how she gets through each day with how much she hates ‘stupid stuff’. Fortunately, the military has a lot of cool stuff to offer to mitigate that. She also really has to bear down on the process of getting dirty. She is a bit of a neat freak…until she isn’t. Once she’s mussed, she doesn’t care anymore. The process, however, creates absolute inner turmoil for her. She dislikes the taste of seafood and avoids alcohol and cigarette smoke.

History and Background

(While I watched all four seasons of the reimagined series, it was almost a decade ago, lol. If any of this seems out of place, let me know.)

She grew up with a traditional family on a traditional colony (Tauron was spoken as often as Caprican). She was a bit of a black sheep, but respected her parents enough to not rock the boat too much. Still, she was a constant source of eye-rolling and hand-waving. A bit of a tomboy, she did her best to push the limits of what was expected of her as a young woman. Her decision to join the Colonial Marines was met with a lot of hemming and hawing and ringing of hands, but she was an adult and could do what she wanted…finally.

She took to it like a duck to water, choosing a specialty that would challenge her mind as well as her body. She excelled enough at her initial training that she was slotted for additional training that would allow her to be attached to more specialized units. She also excelled there and has spent the last few years working with various line and special operations units, attached as needed. While she has enjoyed the opportunity the military has given her and she is likely to stay in for the long haul, she constantly rails against the 'stupid stuff' that happens nearly every day.
