He doesn't quite look like a goth. He has the pale skin, and the vampire-black hair, but his eyes are a brilliant blue and can show warmth or coldness. There is something sad, not sinister about his black clothing. Generally dressed in black except for a white shirt, he looks serious and his facial hair could just be an attempt to mask his youthfulness. The very long sword he carries is either slung over one shoulder or more likely on whatever he is riding. A belt dirk, suitable for parrying, completes Alec's typical gear.

His appearance isn't flashy, and his movements are graceful and understated. There is a subtlety about him that is atypical for members of his family. He seems comfortable being in the background, and confident, but not brash or overconfident.
