Introduction
Cym was born to a villain and her earliest memories were of darkness, but that did not stop her from embracing the light. She became a paladin early on. While she is a giving and kind soul, she is also a great enemy of the Undead. She seeks and destroys evil where it dwells. She is the sister of Tianxing Duskstar, The Daystar to the Duskstar. She and her brother were recruited together, and joined Sir Rustrian Englewild's quest to help. She was one of the people holding off the opposition that had arrived to stop the world from being saved, and only felt the energy of the phoenix surround her after the fact, She did not get to see her sacrifice but she felt it to her soul. Having a mortality burned away, the light was her calling all her life, and in a way it had delievered her and the group she traveled with.
The Church
Her church is widely paladins seeking redemption, those who can help grant redemption, and those who are drawn to the light. Her personal texts speak of such things. There is always cleansing in the light, if you embrace it. Do not shy from it, for it will guide you and protect you from the things that would prey upon you in the night.

Temple & Shrines
There are several temples to Cym, the majority of them are within the bigger cities where crime, and sin if rift. Thallamar, Greymere, Shen Tuan, and those who wish to leave shrines to her do so by leaving sun stones or pieces of colorful glass. Her temples are always found these days to be linked with those of Mai Lin, whom she is wed. One will always find prayers and help from both sides of the combined churches.
A Priests Role
Much like her paladins a priests role is to help combat undead, to help cure those bit by vampires, Cym, commands her priests and priestesses to help those seeking the light find it. In the case of undead it is more final, In the case of the living if they are truly ready to turn over a new leaf, welcome them. Day to day duties are simple, help those who need aid, give, food and shelter, teach of the light, but do not preach it. Her priests and holy people are encouraged to work in tangent with the priest/priestesses of Mai Lin's church as their over all goals as so similar and so compatible.
Adventurers
Mostly those who hunt undead, Vampire Hunters, Paladins, Monster Hunters, those that look for extra aid against things that go bump in the night.
Clothing
Robes of red, gold, pale pink and orange, the colors of the morning sky. She has recently added hanfu in these colors to her priestess/priest wear in honor of her spouses style.
Holy Texts
The Sun disks - The Sun Disks speak of ways to hunt and kill undead, there are rituals for atonement and for forgiveness written within the book.
Book of the Sakura Sun - This book is poetry and haiku written for her wife while she was courting her. It is considered a wedding text within her church.
Holidays
High Sun & Eclipses which she shares with her brother. Sakura Festival-which is her wedding day.

Relationships with Other Religions
The Phoenix- She has a close relationship with the Phoenix much like many of the pantheons. Her bonds were formed during the travels, when she spoke of love and forgiveness but also not being a push over, to remember to be true to herself. The sun goddess inherited some of the same domains as the Phoenix. She is always on call for council should she be able to help her.
Mai Lin-Mai Lin was a close friend to Cym in her mortal life and the two often found their views and how they treated things aligning properly. when they took on their mantles, it doubled and the two worked closer and closer and it was the sparks of love, that grew into something beautiful and last. She chose as tribute to her wife to marry on her holy day, and add make it a shared holy day, where faithful often wed, it is a even bigger occasion should her faithful find love, with that of her wife's church. It is never expected as love must come from its own source but celebrated.
