Jaranse was killed in Apple Lane, Earth Season 1625, when he left the Temple to all the Deities and stood on the street in front of a charging Tusk Raider.

Standing just proud of 6' Jaranse has a wiry frame with obvious finesse to his movements and a the spark of intellect glints in his ever watchful eyes. Rumour has it that he used to run with Yaninna Green-Eyes's gang, bandits and thieves thieves lead by a charismatic Vingan warrioress.

His lineage is of no great note, his Grandfather Orlarg having died in his cot after a lifetime of banditry and no great acclaim despite fighting at Grizzly Peak, in the Holy Country and at Boldhome. At least it can be said of him that he served his clan in time of need.

His father Rastakt shared his grandfather's occupation and lead a similar life fighting in the First Invasion of Prax. The stories he told Jaranse of the numerous ambushes that the Praxians sprang gave ingrained in him a deep hatred of those people. Rastakt was killed in 1613 in battle trying to take the fight back into Lunar Tarsh giving Jaranse good reason to hate the land of the invaders as much as the people.

As for Jaranse himself, his life seemed to be heading the same way as his grandfather and father, with little of note until he found himself caught up in the Esrolian civil War in 1622.

To him it was a chance to make some money and through happenstance found himself protecting Queen Samastina from Red Earth assassins when he had in fact come to rob the place! He fought gloriously and gained somewhat of a name for himself during that time as well as an awakened sense of honour.

1624 was almost as normal a year as the previous one until he found himself in the wrong place at the wrong time and almost died at the hands of tusk riders, a race he hates with a passion.

Recovered from his ordeal he was set upon by Lunar demons in 1625 when the Praxians came to Dragon Pass to destroy the Lunar Temple there and was driven mad fighting the foul spirits, something that he barely recovered from.
