Phineas T. Emrys

Phineas T. Emrys is an aging man who has spent most of his professional life in service to the Blackwall military and the cause and philosophy of the Ronan people.  He is an old grump, but tirelessly dedicated to the protection of the innocent, the upholding of the law and the restoration of civility to the wastelands.  He is mildly psionic, a talent lent to him by his genealogy and not the usual mutations that normally cause such a condition.  His family name has bore the touch of the supernatural for as long as his ancestry is traceable, yet no one fully knows why.  He is considered a "technophile" by identification and has a natural knack for understanding, disassembling and repairing technology.  Using a subtle form of telekinesis, Phineas can assemble and manipulate minute internal workings without having to reach them or fully disassemble a component.

His "military" past is highly decorated, which he disregards, holding little to no value in the praise of others.  He has seen so much of the darkness in man and the horrors of the shattered world, that he has grown reclusive and brooding.  Still an active and respected member of the Blackwall Elite, he is currently assigned to explore the wastelands surrounding the civilized regions of the west coast, reporting all anomalies, discoveries and incidents to his superiors, but left largely to his own discretion and command.  He bears the rank of Captain and operates an exploratory vehicle along with a small crew of friends , droids and civilian experts.

The Argonaut is a iridium-class armored land rover that has undergone, and is constantly undergoing, extensive modifications to equip it for its current mission.  Roughly 70 feet long and standing nearly 2 stories tall, it serves as a mobile laboratory and fortress home for its crew.  Capable of speeds in excess of 40 miles per hour (over open terrain), it is heavily armed and defended and operates under a myste-powered dynamo system with older-fashioned nuclear engines as reserve auxiliary.  It has water and food reclamation facilities to sustain comfortable living for months in the wastelands as well as radiation shielding, decontamination air-locks, automated repair drones and sleeping quarters for up to six permanent residents.
