Haze's original identity prior to her Awakening isn't commonly known, having been on the streets for too long as part of the Awakening itself. What is known is that her recruitment involved a timely intervention on the part of the Adamantine Arrow against a Seer in the service of the Raptor, in one of the larger cities of Ohio. The Raptor in question is one of the few to know her True Name, though, so Haze was sent to one of the few places in the country where the Seers are known to be absent. Part of this is for the novice's safety, but a greater part is concern that Meriden might become complacent against their return.

Haze herself looks better off than many who are homeless, if only marginally, making heavy use of layered clothing to bundle up under one of those trenchcoats iconic of "street mages" in modern media thanks to the likes of John Constantine and Harry Dresden. She has a decently muscled, stocky figure, and flat brown hair of neck length frames a rounded face with hazel eyes. She'll often try to present herself as being relaxed, but the young woman can't seem to hold still unless she's giving something complete, and intense, focus.
