Race: Bitten Werewolf

Mated: Nope

Character Visual: Keno Weider

Member of the Local Pack: Yes, he is the Alpha.

Occupation: Like many wolves his age, Gio doesn't necessarily need to work the way he does, he has money. However he has always loved cars, and motorcycles, working on them, remarking them from the ground up. He owns his own shop, does custom work on both cars and bikes, and attends local car shows, as well as heads out to find good deals now and then. He might not need to work, but a Fiorello man is never idle, and he loves what he does.

Personality:

Giovanni from an early age showed himself to be an understanding, funny, mischievous, and occasionally immature man. He has always been good with women, and he adores children. Family is very important to him, it doesn't matter if you're blood or not, if he calls you family, he'll always be there for you.

He is a seriously big fan of classic rock music, jazz and admits to enjoying the opera and ballets on occasion. Music is a big part of his life, and he doesn't have a bad singing voice. Hence his fondness for karaoke night at the local bar.

Giovanni has always found it difficult with emotional intimacy, and for a long time has enjoyed a simple life of one-night stands and short flings. He rarely allows himself a chance to get emotionally invested in someone. Part of this is simply the man he is, and part of it stems from a past where he's ended up with the shit end of the stick where matters of the heart are concerned.

But when he does love, he loves fiercely, deeply, and passionately. His already natural protective instincts have been honed and magnified since becoming a werewolf, and he'll readily kill anyone who endangers the woman who holds his heart. He can be self-sacrificing and seems to have his own honor code he follows closely.

However, it should be noted that Gio can and has shown moments of ruthlessness and aggression. While that is not an uncommon trait in dominant males, there is a cold kind of mercilessness to him when he slips into that mindset that is worlds different from the usually friendly man.

He has led a long life, and it's matured him some. Occasionally the sorrows of his past will slip past the laid back and well-disposed side he shows to most everyone. While intelligent, he occasionally is impulsive, arrogant, and is more likely to behave irrationally when those he loves are in danger.

Beyond his responsibilities, Giovanni is the kind of man who enjoys the simple things in life. He loves his television shows, a good cold beer, good food, and a better company. In times of stress, he'll usually revert to making inappropriate jokes and sarcastic remarks as his go to when upset, overwhelmed, or when he simply doesn't wish to deal with whatever emotion he is currently being presented with.

Appearance:

Height: 6`2
Eyes: Soft Blue
Build: He has a good build, athletic and lithe, nicely defined without being overly bulky.
Hair: Thick and soft to the touch, it's a darker ash blonde that gains light white blonde streaks during summer months.

Giovanni is a tall man, standing an impressive six foot two. He isn't just all height, and while he doesn't possess what you'd call bulky muscles, his body is nevertheless trim and toned, more wiry or athletic. This is partly thanks to good genetics, the other part is thanks to a fitness routine, which includes running, and strength training. Out of his siblings, Giovanni is the one who most closely resembles his father and his grandfather. They have the same face shape, high cheekbones, and full lips. As an infant, his hair was dark but lightened to a darker ash blonde before his second birthday.

He has his mother`s lighter skin tone, and eyes, he had to inherit something from his mother's side. Giovanni has inherited a fine set of piercing blue eyes, framed by lashes that are a touch darker than his hair and known for being extremely expressive. For the most part, Giovanni has learned to keep his expression composed even when he is experiencing a storm of emotions on the inside, it is his eyes that betray him, offering a clear picture of what he is really feeling inside.

Life is unforgiving. Boys bump their heads and scrape their knees. Men collect scars. Giovanni is no exception. He has a mixture of scars ranging from the very minor, to the more noticeable. Most of them come from living an active life, as a child and as a man, but there are a few here and there that have an amusing tale attached, and the story isn't always one you want to hear. Aside from scars, Giovanni is quite fond of tattoos and views his body as a canvas, his torso, throat, lower belly, and right arm have larger pieces, while his left arm and left hand have smaller tattoos. Most of them have some meaning or thought, and others are simply there because. Why Not?

Everything about Giovanni speaks to his creative side, He naturally seems to gravitate toward the alternative, the unique and artistic. This isn't just reflected in the ink on his skin, or the studs in both ears, or the clothing he picks, which tends to be darker in color, with amusing sayings, or images that happen to catch his eye at the time. It's reflected in most aspects of his life, the music he listens to, the decorations in his home, the people he seeks out. There is something about those who stand out among the sheep that really draw him in.

Distinguishing Features: He has a long, white scar about 2 inches long above his left eyebrow, its slightly faded with age but noticeable. His tattoos and general 'alternative' appearance tend to make him stick out.

Appearance in Wolf Form: In Wolf Form, Giovanni is quite large, easily bigger than some of the largest breeds that exist today.

Physically they are not simply larger versions of wolves, but have slightly different proportions than their smaller cousins; their heads are larger with a leaner, more pronounced muzzle, their legs are longer in proportion to their body, and they have proportionately larger teeth that are often used to crush bones.

His coat is thick, and a coppery red, with a sprinkling of black and a lighter slightly golden color when it catches the sunlight just right. In his wolf form, his eyes are a light amber. You can always tell when he is close to the change, his green eyes will slowly shift color and become the same amber color he has when he is fully transformed.

Distinguishing Markings: The golden highlights in his coat are unique to him, as is the nearly all black left paw on his back leg.

History: [Note: Bio is being re-worked slightly, mostly the bottom/most recent years portion]

Giovanni Fiorello was born in the year 1902 in Italy, and that was a rather turbulent time for his family and for his homeland. He was the eldest son to loving parents, and became the big brother to two siblings. In 1912 his family fled poverty and immigrated to the united states of america. Once there, his father did everything he could to ensure his family would survive, and that they'd be able to send money back home to family they'd left behind.

Giovanni get's his determination, and work ethic from his father, and he's always had the deepest respect for his dad, even if they didn't always see eye to eye, and he didn't always agree with the choices his parents made, and it wasn't until he was an adult that he could fully appreciate their sacrifices. But isn't that usually how it goes between parents and children?

When he and his brother Frankie were old enough, they got work themselves, and did whatever they could to help the family, because that is what a Fiorello man did, he took care of his loved one's first, and himself last. Giovanni can't remember how many times his father would come home and sit him and Frankie down and talk to them about the importance of family, of hard work, and most importantly, how important it was for a man to stick to his morals and to have honor and pride.

But to also never let their enemies, the folks on the street who looked their noses down upon them get to them. Giovanni's father would always say: " "Never hate your enemies. It affects your judgment" whenever they'd come home after a scuffle on the streets, then he'd clap them on the back and tell them to clean up for supper. To this day, Geo remembers and holds close to his heart the many lessons his parents and especially his father tried to teach him all those years ago.

When Giovanni was grown man, when his father was buckling beneath the burden of a hard life, when his sister was married, and his brother was getting involved in a lifestyle that would end up taking his life from him at the age of thirty-five. Gio thought he'd found a girl he could love, who he wanted to bring home to the family, and one day have his own children with. She was an american girl, beautiful and vibrant, with a pair of dark eyes he'll never forget.

She wouldn't be his wife, or the mother of his children. But she would change his life in such a way, there would be no returning to what he'd previously known. But it wasn't just his life that would be forever altered. When Giovanni moved to new york, he found a fast friend in a boy named Fredrick, and they grew up together, became men together. The woman, Isabella played them both for fools, she seduced and string them along, until one night she attacked them both, ravaging them to the point of death. When Gio woke, he realized he'd survived and so had Fred.

A month later, they both learned just how much their lives had forever changed.

Isabella had wanted playmates, toys to use and discard at her whim. Giovanni and his best friend were not little toys to be used. They were dominant wolves, and she quickly learned she couldn't control either of them. This strange, often violent relationship between the trio ended when Giovanni lost is temper and attacked her while out hunting beneath the bright silver full moon. Isabella became the hunted that night, and she didn't live to see the sunrise. After her death, Gio stayed with his family for a short time before leaving to wander the world with his best friend as lone wolves.

It would be decades before Giovanni joined a pack.

In the late 1940's, early 1950's Giovanni returned to New York, and quickly found himself falling in love with a human woman. While she was mortal, she would have a huge impact on his life, and on the man he would become. Siobhán was her name, and she was fierce and funny and loving. She softened him, knew just the right words to say to calm his temper and made him earn for things he'd thought he'd never have nor want. They were together nearly a year before they conceived their son. It was around that time that he admitted to his young wife his true nature.

It was the hardest thing he'd ever done.

She accepted it with time, and when their daughter was three years old, she asked him to change her. While Giovanni had long ago made peace with what he was, he had never planned on making any one into what he was for as long as he lived. But he couldn't say no to those bright blue eyes, and eventually he sought permission from the Alpha of that territory. Once it was granted, Gio watched as his wife was given the same brutal treatment he'd been given, that all bitten wolves are given. Once she'd recovered, Giovanni was looking forward to running beside her during hunts, and being able to have her for many lifetimes.

It wasn't meant to be. It became apparently very quickly to him that she wasn't dealing with the change well, she couldn't control her wolf and was quickly deteriorating beneath the strain of being both woman and wolf. Gio tried to hide her condition as long as he could, trying to convince himself that she would get better, that she would learn to control it. Eventually, when she nearly lost complete control around their child, he was forced to admit defeat. He went to the alpha, and through the council it was ordered for his wife to be killed. Not out of malice, but for her sake, and for the sake of others.

He understood the reasoning. When it came down to it, he couldn't allow another male to touch her. With his best friend at his side, Giovanni killed the woman he'd loved and destroyed. Once she was gone, Giovanni was broken, and found himself unable to care for his young daughter properly. So, he sacrificed his chance to be a father, in order to give her a better future with her mother's family. He sent money often in order to help support her from the shadows. It wasn't until her eighteen birthday that he found the courage to see her again.

Gio had never been so tempted in his life to reach out to someone. But he couldn't, and after reassuring himself she was okay, he left her to live the life he'd tried desperately to make sure she had. A life that was good and happy.

The years following that loss were hard on him, he was a mess and if it wasn't for Fredrick, he might have lost control of himself. But eventually he recovered, he found himself again and moved on with his life, secretly vowing to himself to never, ever change another again. These years were long, and he once again found himself a wandering lone wolf, moving from place to place. This was in the late 1960's to be precise, but it wasn't all bleak and loneliness brought on by self-isolation.

The bight moments in these years were thanks to a beautiful vampire he'd met long ago, and had a close connection with. He'd meet her in random places around the world, and together they'd enjoy life and each other until inevitably they'd need to part ways. They found each other again, while previously their relationship had been fun and flirtatious, though non sexual, this time they kind of tumbled into something of a relationship, though Giovanni wasn't keen on putting any kind of label to it.

Like most of his relationships, this didn't last long, and eventually she was called away by other duties and he was again alone. While he enjoys her company, they are two entirely different people, not to mention she is vampire, and he wolf. While in Montana, he got wind that the North Western Alpha Thomas Stewart was on the bad side of the alpha council, and word was they were voting to call The Hunt on him. Giovanni didn't know what made him act, but he found himself in Stewart's territory. Part of him wonders if it was curiosity, after all, Stewart was an older wolf, and while his reputation wasn't great, it did made Gio wander what he was doing in order to get the mark of death placed upon him.

It was bad.

The pack was chaos, submissive were harmed. Thomas had let the power go to his head, and ruled over the wolves like a spoiled King who enjoyed bullying those he protected. Giovanni challenged him three days after arriving in his territory and gaining the backing of the council. It was a tough battle, but eventually he prevailed. The few years after he took control were the hardest, he had to build everything from the ground up, had to enforce not only the Pack Law, but his own. Had to help the submissive who weren't broken learn to trust again, and send those who were to far gone to the council for care. It was not long after he took over that he was offered and accepted a seat on the council.

It was around this time that his brother in all but blood Fredrick came back into the picture. He offered him a position in the pack, and Fred eventually accepted, becoming his enforcer. While the pack is and was his absolute priority, it wasn't just the former alpha's mess he was dealing with. He also had to learn to handle the founding family of vampires who considered themselves the lords and rulers of the area. Gio despite his vampire lover Reinette, is wary of the bloodsuckers.

He did however find most of the founding family to be reasonable, if not exactly likable. There was an exception to this, Alexandria, who is his main contact among the family proved to be quite charismatic and charming. They briefly had a fling during the early years, but neither of them wanted anything more from the relationship and it quickly fizzled. It was also during these years he learned more about Reinette, who was also from the founding family.

Eventually, they resumed the relationship they'd abandoned during the sixties for a short time, and this time there was a new development between them. Honest Emotional connection. However, when the rest of her kin were fleeing the town for whatever reason, Reinette decided she needed to join then. Not being the man to ask a woman to chose, he let her go. Giovanni hasn't heard for her in a little over five years, nor does he expect it.

After Rylands death and the movement of the hunter group into the town, Giovanni has focused his energies on maintaining the safety and well-being of his pack, on keeping his territory together. He attempts to keep things civil between his wolves and the rest of the supernaturals, plus now the hunters in the area. But nothing will prevent him from protecting what is his, regardless of old attachments or anything else.

His pack is his family, his responsibility, and he'll kill to keep them all safe.

Family:

His Pack is Family.

Adele Berta Fiorello: Mother [Deceased] His mother was the rock of the family, she was a good wife and mother and was always there for him and siblings. His mother always had his father's back, and was never disrespectful, but she wasn't shy about voicing her thoughts either, a trait he always admired in her.

Antony 'Tony' Fiorello: Father [Deceased] Hardworking, prideful and stubborn. Gio takes after his father a lot in temperament and values. When his father died of a heart attack, he left Gio as the head of house, a responsibility he took very seriously.

Frankie Piero Fiorello: Brother [Deceased] His brother frankie died young, way to young. He got mixed up with mafia types, made the wrong friends and did some bad things that eventually caught up to him.

Benigna Gianna Fiorello: Sister [Deceased] Bennie as he called her was a vibrant and feisty woman, taking after their mother for sure. She married young, and had four children of her own with a good, upstanding Italian named Luciano. Of them all, she truly had a blessed life and lived to a ripe old age, dying surrounded by family and friends.

Gracelyn - The Ex and Heartbreaker. Giovanni loved her more than he thought possible. She was a hunter, and it was supposed to be a fun fling, something to pass the time. But she took part of his hear without him really even realizing it. When she got pregnant, he was over the moon. Of course, that was when shit started, and seeds were planted and she turned her back on him, abandoned everything they'd had. A simple broken heart he could live with, but she took his daughter from him, his baby girl, without an once of thought of care for how he felt or would feel losing his child. Giovanni never stopped hunting for his daughter, and he'll never forgive Grace for that betrayal.

Special Possessions While it carries no real supernatural ability that he is aware of. Giovanni is never without a pendant given to him by his late wife after they were married. It is an old thing, handed down through her family.

** The Celtic hounds were dogs well respected by royalty and warriors. They were given as gifts to men of honour and many warriors and chiefs took the name as a title to show their loyalty and courage. **

His wife said that he was a man of honor and loyalty and that this was her gift to him, to always remind him of these traits and qualities. The pendant itself is bone white and intricately carved hounds in a circular design. He is never without this pendant.
