Drew Jackson is a well-built but not overly muscular young man who stands just over 6 feet tall.  His dark brown hair is usually kept at military regulation length or slightly longer, and he often grows a thin, stubbly beard and mustache between rounds of training.  When not required to wear some form of military uniform for training or his work with the campus ROTC program Drew mostly sports casual attire, generally comfortable jeans and loose-fitting t-shirts with a lined leather jacket.

Being an avid hunter and outdoorsman, Drew also has a full set of military surplus fatigues with jacket bearing the previous generation of woodland camo.  These are, in fact, military issue but have been stripped of all insignia and patches save for the name “Jackson,” as they were once his father’s.

Drew Jackson grew up as the son of a Marine Colonel.  He was taught the value discipline, honor, and courage at an early age.  Once he reached high school he had decided he wanted to enlist in the Marine Corps once he graduated.  He planned on serving his first four-years before heading to college to earn a degree.

During his four years of initial service Drew made somewhat of a name for himself, standing out among his peers.  He quickly stepped up in rank from Private to Private First-Class, and again from Private First Class to Lance Corporal.  Near the end of his initial service, he made Corporal.  Pleased with his performance, and recognizing a bit of his father’s drive, his CO pulled him aside and urged him to consider pursuing a career as an officer in the corps.  Drew gave many weeks of consideration to this, and eventually decided to do so.  After his initial four-year commitment was up he agreed to serve an additional four years as a Reservist as he attended Gateway University and studied for a Degree in Military Sciences so he could then apply for Officer Candidate School.

Once he arrived at Gateway University he took his classwork seriously, and even worked with the Army ROTC program on campus.  Nearly four years later, Drew is now nearing the end of his coursework and training.  He hopes to finish his degree, move on to OCS, and one day follow in his (now retired) Father’s footsteps as a Marine Officer.
