Leese Wray

The Basics
Name: Leese Wray  (She used to be Analeese, but that name disappeared when her wolf died.)
Nickname: Just Leese
Age: 21
Species: Fate*
*Note: Once she was a Shifter- a being who could change from being human to being a wolf, but that all changed when she became Fate.  It wasn't her choice, and the loss of the man she gave her heart too was too much for her wolf to bare.  It died, leaving her as a Human host for Fate.  She has been sentenced to this existence for a thousand years- at that time she'll join her wolf once more.

The Appearance
Weight: 115 lbs (Maybe less- she doesn't eat much these days)
Height: 5'4''
Physical Description:

Leese is a curvy woman with startling green eyes that seem to see deeper than the surface.  She is not slight nor particularly athletic.  Soft layers of shoulder length red hair cascade onto her fair skin accentuated by the dotting of freckles over her nose and cheeks.  She tends to wear baggy cargo pants that sit low on her hips and accentuate her tiny waist.  Most of the time she's found wearing t-shirts that have some vague pop-culture reference in the human world and always with a nod to sarcasm and her sardonic personality.

Distinguishing Features:
Distinguishing Marks: She has a shock of pure white hair back at the nape of her neck that she keeps hidden under her red curls.  She also has a long scar that runs from her right shoulder to her left hip.

The Human
Personality:
Leese's time in the dreamscape, having lost Simon, and put through incredible psychological torture by the Eater of Souls, Leese is now a little unhinged.  To compound issues she has the memories of Chimere Glass, the woman who never was folding over her memories as if they are real.  The result of this conflict has made her question what is real and what is not.  Dark Chimere also killed a Fate and absorbed her powers.

She fought those powers, but when she found the flowers on the door for the motel, she knew that what Puck had told her was true.  There was no happy ending- not for her or Simon.  Not really for anyone.  Simon had plans- she was not a part of his ending.  He had given her a new life as a part of it, but he'd told her that he'd remember her- she had accepted that.

Her capacity to love died with her wolf, but Fate has to be a sociopath.  Emotions such as love, envy, hate, or despair can't exist because she might interfere with the sad stories, the tragic ones... the ones where little wolves lose everything.

She is simply a woman now- emotionless, but not without a sense of humor.  Which she finds funny.  She's excepted her sentence for walking along side Gods as if she was their equal.  The marks, counting off the millennia is testament to that.

(You want something happier?  Simon made her Fate, not Hope.  Fate's a bitch.)

Mundane Skills: She's pretty good at doing almost anything now.  As Fate she has the inside edge. Her best skill is at reading people.  She's very good at providing her hotel guests with exactly what they need- whether it be good or bad.  There is a reason her favorite cat is called Karma.

Occupation: Leese runs the Blue Star Motel out by the highway.

As a side job she weaves the history of every mortal in the world.  (A girls gotta have something to keep her time occupied.)

The Not So Human
Species Description: Fate- More specifically she is the vessel of Fate.  In 1000 years she will pass the mantle of Fate to the next poor soul- who will have to dole out the bad news to the universe.

Powers and Abilities:
Leese has become the host to the weave.  Known as Fate, because Dark Chimere, when she was inhabiting Leese's body killed and absorbed the powers of one of the three Fates, Leese can now effect the weave and thus effect certain aspects of reality.  She still uses the cards as mentioned below- but she is aware that she is really only talking to herself.
- As host to the weave, Leese embodies the flow of time and the Fate of Mortals. By manipulating the weave, she can manipulate the destiny of all those within the weave.  She also controls access to the weave.

Dark Chimere inherited abilities: (Now Dormant since Leese has returned to the conscious mind- These can't be used without GM approval.)
Scary Power Boosts that come from a mind unfettered, but are limited due to her being mortal.  The more she uses these the more her body falls apart.
Hydrokinesis—The ability to manipulate water.
Pyrokinesis – The ability to manipulate fire.
Psychokinesis or telekinesis – The ability to manipulate objects by way of extrasensory perception.
Levitation – The ability to undergo bodily uplift or fly by mystical means.

The Story
Character Background:

Leese was born to the Sequoia Wolf Pack in California.  When her abilites of being a Psychic were discovered, her mother was excited.  She was trained well, but when she hit puberty her powers seemed to grow past what was normal.  She went through mentors one by one when her powers exceeded their understanding.  Leese resorted to shifting into wolf form and remaining wolf for months at a time, since her powers only manifest in her human form.  Maraska found Leese- saying she was guided to seek out the girl.  She had been told to find her and teach her how to channel her power.  It is only through the old woman's intervention that Leese remained sane.

Her father, at first, thought her abilities would provide him with a boost in his position in the pack.  Quickly he found out that he was mistaken and mostly found reasons to stay away.  Her mother likewise focused her energies and her time on Leese's younger siblings when she realized her daughter might go mad.

Leese left her pack and no one noticed.  She has traveled a lone wolf, trying to outrun her gift and find a place in the world.  She lives in fear about finding her True Mate because as a girl she had a vision of his death.  It was directly tied to her- so to protect him, she ran.  She found out about Sanctuary and figured it was a place where she could find a little peace at least for a while.

It wasn't a day into Sanctuary that she met Simon- the brain damaged squirrel... her brain damaged squirrel.  He had asked for directions and ended up conjuring a diner with her.  One she never visits anymore- even though they have the best apple pie in town.  She fell in love with him and offered to be his wolf.  She gave him her heart that day.  She also learned that she was a Harbinger for the apocalypse.  Simon saved her- splitting her into three pieces- A wolf who could never die, (Chimere) a woman who could never live, and a soul who could never rest.

The evils of the Apocalypse didn't claim the world, but as a consequence, Leese became fate when Chimere killed Fate and took on her powers.  When Leese with Sophia, Simon's sister, stopped Chimere from ending the world, she took on the mantle of Fate.  Simon was lost to her, so she thought, having chosen to dispose of the box himself rather than leave it to kill her.  Knowing this, Leese went a little insane.  Puck found her and made her snap out of it and take up the mantle of Fate.

She fought this passage- She didn't want to become this, but when Simon, who was alive, like Puck told her, left flowers on the motel stoop to say goodbye without seeing her... it was too much for her soul to bare.  Her wolf died that day, along with her heart.  It is only the mantle of Fate that keeps her alive- a thousand year sentence for loving a man who couldn't stay.

Leese chose to erase the Cheap Motel and replaced it with the Blue Star. She works as the owner and manager of the enterprise, continuing the motel's karmic motivations along with her cats.
